@annie_mcginley @KRLunde @RowSmyth @nrk_no It's a beautiful language. Would love to have read An béal bocht in the original and laughed at its wonder. School took the joy away, I learnt French and then life meant I had to learn Norwegian (wonderful too). Manchán and Rubberbandits show me some of what I lost. Take care.

@annie_mcginley @KRLunde @RowSmyth @nrk_no I don't agree - so we'll leave it at that. I contend that there was no slight intended or delivered, you have a different opinion and project a whole lot of that onto other's meaning. The complaint is in, let kringkastingsrådet decide. Wishing you a Happy Christmas.

@annie_mcginley @KRLunde @RowSmyth @nrk_no Not at all, you are deflecting a single quip on an NRK show to the holocaust. No one is disputing the fact that the famine happened. The issue is should we take offense to a simple quip that alluded to a fact. I repeat - it was not a joke on the Irish.

@annie_mcginley @KRLunde @RowSmyth @eddiewhyte @nrk_no Deflection - stick to the point. There was no joke or about the Ireland or the Irish, or intent to belittle the experience of the famine in that clip. I disagree with the complainant and don't believe there is grounds for it. That's all.

@KRLunde @annie_mcginley @RowSmyth @eddiewhyte @nrk_no Is is a sensitive topic? Sure is. Is there any attempt to demean or deride Ireland or the Irish in the quip? None at all. Is it even a joke? Not really, more of a tragic fact. Is there cause for a complaint to be upheld by kringkastingsrådet? Definitely shouldn't be.

@eddiewhyte @briankeyes @HasseHope @CSCNorway @NRKno @MarkusNeby Presuming to know the minds of the dead. That's a high horse. The rest of the sentence doesn't really make sense but if you meant who do I mean "we" are, that would be those who aren't high, mighty and enraged and pay our NRK license fee.

@briankeyes @eddiewhyte @HasseHope @CSCNorway @NRKno @MarkusNeby Helt enig. That complaint is way over the top about a flippant quip. Our country revels in dark humour so don't go all mope on NRK. Hopefully kringkastingsrådet will not uphold. God jul and merry Christmas to one and all. We're better than this 🇮🇪🇳🇴 irishtimes.com/opinion/no-sha…

@BasSchnater @benjsto @DanielKvile Old days was soup, nothing was wasted, but now mostly goes to feed and protein powder.

@benjsto @BasSchnater Fish heads, the taller racks are for the fillets. The heads have the tongues removed, a delicacy. Great regional FA, Hålogaland, there too with @DanielKvile at the helm 👍
