Tonight at my local Chess club tournament I resigned a game because I missed a tactical shot my opponent found but the game was far from over. I came home and found the win immediately. #NeverGiveUp #chesspunks

Had an actual stress dream about chess last night-- I dreamt I had fallen asleep in the middle of a game and lost half my time, also, I had no room in my book for writing the game down. Anyone else have this kind of bad dream? #chesspunks

It's new Chess set day! I ordered this repro of the 1950 Dubrovnik Bobby Fischer set in red and white because I've always thought the red is a cool other colour. Couldn't be happier. #chesspunks

Extremely happy with my OTB win this evening over a club member who has taken my lunch money a couple of times now. Had a significant time disadvantage going into the penultimate move (over 15 minutes of a 50 minute game) and equal after his move. Feels good! #chesspunks

What is your go-to reference for Openings? I ask because I am looking for a good hands-on reference that provides context about the openings, what the character of the opening is, what each side is trying to do, etc. I see Nunn's referenced lot in Wikipedia... #chesspunks ?
