Dear friends and family, On Thursday, May 25th, my father, Steven Sensenbach, died. An old family friend reached out to me on Facebook on Saturday, May 27th, and I learned of his death from when I read his direct message at midnight on May 28th. 1/
I express my sincerest condolences to everyone who has experienced loss through my father's passing. To those who have shown compassion and reached out during this time, I am grateful beyond words. 23/
I wish I didn’t wish all of this, because it makes me feel like a little girl that should be twirling in a pretty dress. I wish none of this ever happened. But it did. 22/
I wish you could have understood my feelings and talked to me like that elusive adult you kept saying you were, instead of using my words against me and adding some very hurtful ones in the meantime. 21/
I wish you would have been man enough to tell her before telling Steffany and I. I wish you would have been better at being a man. I wish you would have been better at living morally and consciously, with integrity and love and compassion. 20/
I wish that you were still my cool Dad. I wish that you had never left Mom and that the four of us still had a blast during the holidays. I wish that you were with Mom in our family house and were happy. I wish you would have worked it out with her. 18/

I am trying to release the burden of expecting an apology that will never come, and I focus on healing and moving forward, embracing the love and support that surrounds me. 16/
In the midst of this grieving process, I strive to find forgiveness within myself, not for my father's sake, but for my own peace of mind. 15/
All I needed was a call, a sign of remorse, and we could have moved forward. But he never called. Now, I find myself grappling with grief without a proper outlet to express it. 14/
The grief I feel is genuine, even though it conflicts with my disappointment and resentment towards him. For over two decades, he remained absent from my life, and I held onto the hope that he would one day reach out and apologize for his actions. 13/
These extramarital affairs have deeply affected our family, leaving scars that are difficult to heal. Despite the complex and strained relationship I had with my father since 2001, his passing has left me in a state of indescribable sadness. 12/
Throughout his marriage to my mother, Nikki Sensenbach, my father engaged in numerous affairs, betraying the trust and commitment that should have been the foundation of their relationship. 11/
Additionally, he held a seat on the board of the Federal Reserve, showcasing his influence and expertise in financial matters. However, it is essential to shed light on the personal side of my father's life, which has caused immense pain and disappointment for my family. 10/
Steven Sensenbach was well-respected in the banking industry and local community, having created and served as President and CEO of Vineyard National Bank. 9/
Their absence in his obituary further emphasizes the void left behind and the impact of his choices on future generations. I would like to acknowledge my father's professional achievements, as it is important to recognize his contributions in that aspect. 8/
It is heartbreaking to consider the three beautiful grandchildren, and numerous grand-nieces and nephews, my father chose not to know. They are innocent victims of the circumstances and missed the opportunity to have a relationship with their grandfather and granduncle. 7/

What was left out it that he is also survived by; Steven’s second wife (of 23 years) Vera-Nikki Sensenbach, their daughters Steffany Sensenbach (and her family), 5/
