The baby tracker that shuts up and just works. Log diapers, feeds & bottles one-handed at 3am. No nags, no ads, no subscriptions. Free, private, yours.poopjob.app Bedroom at 3am, probablyJoined June 2026
Log the diaper before you snap the onesie back up, not after you've washed your hands and walked off. That walk is where the memory goes. Two seconds now beats guessing at 6am.
Daycare teacher ask: label everything. Bottles, pacifiers, the little socks, the hat. Eleven kids and a lost-and-found bin that eats things. A marker takes thirty seconds and saves you a small grief.
Pack a spare shirt for yourself in the diaper bag, not just for him. Spit-up lands on you far more often than it lands on him. I learned that one in a supermarket line, wearing it.
Don't flip on the big light for a night feed. Your phone screen is plenty to log by, and everyone drifts back down easier in the dark. Small thing, but the 4am you appreciates staying in low light.
First baby, you track every hiccup. Second baby, you're lucky to know what day it is. No judgment either way. The app's there for the days your brain has clearly clocked out, which with a toddler around is most of them.
There's a specific panic when you're sure you gave the bottle but can't prove it. Did I? Was that today? One tap in the moment saves you from interrogating yourself in the kitchen an hour later.
The 5pm crash hits parents too. Baby's fussing, dinner isn't started, and you genuinely can't recall if you ate lunch. You didn't. Go eat something. The log can hold the baby stuff for a minute.
Everyone online has a loud opinion about your baby's schedule, and half of them contradict the other half. Your own log is the only source actually about your kid. Trust that over the influencer with good lighting.
Handing the baby to my husband turns me into a shift supervisor. Last feed 2:10, right side, one wet, do not comment on the nap or he'll wake. A shared log means I can finally skip the briefing.
The nap lottery: is this the 25 minute cat nap or the glorious long one where I get to drink a coffee while it's hot. You never know going in. The log at least tells you afterward what kind of day it was.
Nobody warns you the blowout goes up the back, not down. You reach for a wipe and realize it's an outfit change, a bath, and a small crisis of faith. Log it, laugh later, keep the spare onesie close.
My mother-in-law likes to remind me they never tracked a thing and everyone turned out fine. Sure. She also had four sisters on the same street. You're doing it solo at 3am. Writing it down isn't cheating.
Restock the diaper bag at night, not on your way out the door. Nothing tests a marriage quite like discovering you're down to zero wipes in a parking lot with a blowout in progress.
Two changing stations if you've got the room, one where you sleep and one where you spend the day. Sounds excessive. Then you haul a baby up the stairs at 3am once and it's suddenly the smartest thing you own.
Traveling with a baby? The app runs offline, so a dead zone or airplane mode doesn't stop you logging. It all syncs back up once you're online again. One less thing to babysit on the road.
Save your back: set the changing pad at hip height, not on the floor or a low couch. You do this more times a day than you'd believe, and your spine will notice which one you picked.
Bottle tip for the night feeds: pre-measure the water into the bottles before bed and set the powder next to them. Half asleep, you're just adding and shaking, not doing math over the sink at 3am.
Night diaper tip: size up just for overnight. A slightly bigger diaper holds more, and you skip the 3am outfit change and sheet strip. Not fancy. Just fewer midnight laundry runs.
When you take over a shift, check the log before the baby: last feed, last diaper, last nap. Ten seconds of reading saves a lot of guessing, and stops the accidental double feed.
Rough evenings? Look back at the afternoon in your log. A short or skipped nap tends to show up as a meltdown a few hours later. Doesn't fix it, but knowing why helps you brace for it.
