@DiegoOjeda66 Ask yourself, “what is the purpose of home room time?” and that will help you choose the right activities.

@MaestraOTM Sounds normal to me. If you have a strenuous day, it seems normal to have a restful day following it. Plus, summer is that time of year not to follow a rigid schedule as we do during the school year. Enjoy it!

@cultofpedagogy @MCarrilloEDU Great article! This is such a unique situation we find ourselves in now. I was recently taking the opposite approach and looking for ways to apply traditional methodologies in an online context. It's great to see so much discussion on the subject! leaneducationlab.com/research/bloom…

@AdrienneBranden I was reading it as a class novel and we would act parts out. Sts were bored with it (and so was I), so I just acknowledged it was a dud and we moved on to a reading that coincided with a Wooly video.

@AdrienneBranden I tried using it one year and abandoned it after Chapter 3. It felt dated and Ss weren’t interested.

@MsAbeja I’ve stayed away from it most years b/c it’s usually over covered. The times I have incorporated it, it has been an opportunity to talk about remembering the dead. I’ve never been a fan of the typical projects and activities that accompany DDLM b/c they feel forced.
