4.Yes I healed, & my predestined path would lead me to become a surgical resident at the level one trauma center/healthcare system where I was born, which is where I should have been referred for specialty care for my injury…

3. It was only later I realized the disparity in treatment received. There was no call to hand or plastics & no referral to the children’s level 1 trauma center that was only 30 min away. We were by no means well off, but had private insurance…
