“Rules are rules”—which is why Sha’Carri Richardson is suspended from the Olympic Team for 1 pot violation, but Alen Hadzic gets to compete despite his suspension for investigations into his repeated sexual assault “Rules” seem magically absent for some🤔 buzzfeednews.com/article/briann…
@QasimRashid False equivalence is not an argument. One is proved & agreed & another is allegation. There can be hundred allegation on anyone. In case of sexual offense law should take its course, it directly doesn’t impact sporting ability like drugs. Maradona was also suspended for drugs.
@QasimRashid The article makes no mention of Sha’Carri Richardson, and her situation is completely separate -surely a ‘human rights lawyer’ knows what ‘false equivalence’ means?
@QasimRashid This Romanian gymnast in 2000was stripped of her all around Gold medal because of a banned substance and cold medicine olympics.nbcsports.com/2015/06/25/and…
@QasimRashid This is the heartbreaking truth that points to the systematic inequality that runs us right now, whether it's racist, sexist, or otherwise. Something needs to be done, this has to change.
@QasimRashid The ultimate expression of white male privilege. . . I’m all set with the business enterprise the Olympics has become. This is all about profit for those investing in the games. Shame on those making & enforcing the rules on who plays or not.
@QasimRashid @MatthewDravecky Oh that’s just MADDENING. 🤬🤬🤬
@QasimRashid @pattonoswalt This is also misogyny in that sexual assault history is not an automatic violation barring a person to compete
@QasimRashid How can he be suspended before he is found guilty...? 🤔
