I haven't been on here in a long time, but I'm about to publish a book called Leaf’s Library about binary search. The new book series is called stem forest. Unfortunately, this account has some un kid friendly elements, so I kind of have to restart with a new alias.

It's a real shame that PSVR2 doesn't support PC. I'd definitely be willing to spend $600 on a PC version of the PSVR2. It definitely still has compromises, so I wouldn't spend $1000 on it. But $600? Yeah. $700? Probably. $800? Maybe. But at $600, for sure.

Yep. Its bloated because the engineers need to spend half their time working on nonsense, temporary things that management wants until they finish their main project, which now needs to offer legacy support for temporary thing, which makes it 4 times more complicated.

I'm not sure if I like it yet, but I made a Mastodon account. The server I chose supposedly has native latex rendering support. That sounds cool. I'll let you know whenever I actually try it. @[email protected]

Well, with the Twitter deal finally going through, I'm probably going to find another social network. Maybe? But I'm definitely going to use Twitter a lot less. It seems like Mastodon is the best kind of solution, but I need to find a good server.

If I had to buy a VR headset right now, I would probably buy the Pico 4. Maybe the HP reverb G2 if the price was right. But I want to wait to see the competition (or at least get a better face cushion). I would not buy the Meta Quest pro, even if it wasn't owned by facebook.

The HP reverb G2 would be a great VF headset at its sales price of 350... if it didn't use windows mixed reality. I hope valve open sources their inside out tracking solution after they launch Deckard. Developing ML algorithms shouldn't be a requirement to launch a headset.

There is a lot about Biden's presidency I'm not happy with, for instance, his approach to policing. But he has done a lot of really cool things, like open access to research, decriminalization of weed, passing the inflation reduction act, etc. Okay for a modern president.
