@NYGovCuomo You didn’t coordinate when you closed NYC schools last! You can not just open us to be “day care” that is not ok! Our safety and safety of students and families is most important. NYC is epicenter! Not one size fits all! Mayor made right choice here @NYCMayor

@NYGovCuomo @NYCMayor NYC is the epicenter so the Mayor did make the right choice in my mind to close schools for rest of year! It is not one size fits all or you would have closed all NY and surrounding area schools to close at same time. NYC closed last

@NYCSchools Day by day but until the 29th for now I am sure longer to keep everyone safe and not to open us too soon for the risk of people getting sick all over again

@NYCSpeakerCoJo Thank you for standing up for me and the other NYC DOE teachers! Maybe @NYCMayor @NYGovCuomo @DOEChancellor can get on board with that since they have not mentioned how keeping schools opened impacts the teachers too!!!!!! We have families and our health to consider also

@NYGovCuomo @NYCMayor now over 6 states and numerous countries close all of their schools for safety yet you keep NYC public schools open and endanger us ALL. You need to consider the teachers as well!!!! We matter too! #CLOSENYCPUBLICSCHOOLS #closenycschools #keepussafe

@NYCMayor @NYGovCuomo I am a NYC DOE teacher and I urge you to close our schools. We love our students but we also need to show love to ourselves and protect ourselves and our families from the spread. This is about protecting us all!!!!!!! We all need to feel protected!
