Old gearbox sprocket on top of its new replacement. You can see not only the wear on the drive side teeth, but also the galling that happens when ridden hard on a dry chain.

ZZR into ZRX front end coming along. Wheel's spaced correctly now, speedo drive replaced using a double lip seal and a top hat. Original top hat on the other side replaced with one 1.5mm longer. Calliper to disc alignment sorted, just the upper fairing brackets to do. 👍
Neo's in today, so his sun terrace is set up as the weather's decent. He can watch the world go by (be nosey) in comfort. 😁
Stuff like this is annoying, it's the vac take off for the scottoiler (awful things). Just enough to make you wonder occasionally if it's running 'off' but not quite enough to show up when you check or run a diagnostic.

A couple of people have asked how to seal loom splits. One way is to use three pieces of adhesive lined heat shrink. Fit as seen in the pic, then heat it all together and pinch the end of the large piece between the smaller pieces with needle nose pliers.
Feast you eyes on this exemplar of electrical work, and yes that is inside the chain case running in hot oil. All carried out by an "auto electrician" no less.🙄

First part of the work to convert a Kawasaki ZXR to Kawasaki ZZR USD front end. Stems pressed out, collars turned and pressed in to the ZZR yokes. ZZR top yoke milled to take the ZXR ignition switch.

This cosmetically challenged GSXR1000 street fighter came in over the weekend as a trade in. It reminded me that the acceleration on modern sports bikes is quite staggering. It also made clear that the RF1000 is going to be an epic handful. 😄
