Students, this could be your “office” this summer! 🌊 🛶 🌲 Apply to be a Park Ranger and select us as one of the parks you'd like to work at, then let your #RestoulePP adventure begin: bit.ly/3O7GG2A
1/2 Our park is closed for the season now, and so we just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to visit Restoule this season! We will no longer be monitoring our social media accounts, so if you have a question about the park, you can call (705)-792-2010 or
2/2 you can check out the park website for FAQs: ontarioparks.com/park/restoule. We’ll be back on our social media accounts in May for the 2024 season and posting regularly after we open May 17, 2024. We hope to see you then!
Today is our last day open for the 2023 season! We’ve had a great year and enjoyed seeing everyone who was able to come into the park, whether just for a day, or for a several night stay. We hope you have a great winter, and we look forward to seeing you next year in May!
Happy Thanksgiving from Restoule! We hope you’re able to get together with your loved ones and have had a great weekend! Just a reminder, tonight is the last night you can stay in the park, and tomorrow is the last day we’re open if you wanted to hike our trails one more time!
Our apologies, but despite the best efforts of our maintenance staff, only the accessible shower at our Kettle Comfort Station is currently working. All seven showers are working at the Putts Comfort Station, should you need them. Gate hours Sun: 8am-8pm Mon-Tues: 8am-4:15pm
It’s World Smile Day! The smiley face we all love was created by Harvey Ball in 1963, and World Smile Day was started by Harvey to help us all remember the meaning behind the iconic image! Join us today in devoting the day to smiles and acts of kindness while you enjoy the park!
Just a reminder that our park is only open for another week! Our last day open is Oct 10 this year. Haven’t had a chance to come camping here yet? You still can! You can reserve a site for as late as Oct 9, and we look forward to seeing you before we close for the winter!
Happy #StaffSunday from Sam at Restoule! Years at Parks: 7 years Park Position: Assistant Superintendent Favourite thing about your job: “Patrolling on a quiet night, and seeing kid’s smiling faces when I organize a wellness event” #restoule #restouleprovincialpark
Is your campsite bear safe? Bears will be attracted by: 🐻 strong food aromas 🐻 the scent of garbage 🐻 cooking smells 🐻 ripe fruits and pet food left outside All wildlife attractants are best stored in the trunk of your vehicle with its windows closed. ontarioparks.com/parksblog/bear…
Fall is a beautiful time of year to come hike our trails! Our River Trail is a lovely hiking loop that runs near the Restoule River and it’s great for biking if that’s more your style! Here, we have multi-use trails that are great for biking or hiking if you share the trail!
As September draws to a close, we’re sad to announce that the Park will be closing in two weeks. Our last day open is Oct 10 this year, and we’ll be sad to see everyone go. If you haven’t had a chance to come camping here at Restoule you can reserve a site for as late as Oct 9!
Today is the Fall Equinox, the second day of the year where day and night are the same length! Come visit us at Restoule and enjoy the fall colours and the quiet that fall brings to our park! It’s a perfect time to come camping here if you’re wanting to get away from the city.
Here are a few ways you can minimize your ecological impact in the backcountry: 🗑️ Pack your food in containers, and take all your garbage with you 🏕️ Stay on designated campsites and trails 🌿 Leave all natural objects where you find them 🛶 Clean your gear after every trip
Interested in biking around the park, but don’t want to bring your own bike? We have some available to rent here at Restoule! We also have helmets to go with them. If paddling is more your style, we also have kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes available! Just ask our Gate staff!
Restoule P.P. is going to be impacted by a planned power outage Sunday, September 24 from 8am-4pm. The comfort stations, trailer water fill and dump station, as well as power supplied to electric campsites will be disrupted. We're sorry for any inconvenience you may experience.
It’s National Forest Week! Come check out our trails and take a moment to appreciate the forests we have in our province! You might even get to enjoy the changing colours as the days get shorter and cooler! Gate office Hours Mon-Thurs: 8am-4:15pm Fri-Sat: 8am-10pm Sun: 8am-8pm
It’s World Clean-up Day! Here’s 3 ways to reduce waste while camping: 💧 Use reusable water bottles 🍇 Use reusable food containers and dishes 🚯 Take all litter back with you when hiking More low-waste solutions for your camping trip here: bit.ly/30zKT5V #actONlitter
Hey campers and day-trippers! Your dogs are welcome to visit the park with you on-leash. Having your pup on-leash helps keep campers, wildlife, and your pup safe and comfortable! Many Parks have beaches or off-leash areas where dogs are welcome, like our dog beach and dog park.
Update: All showers at the Kettle Point Campground Comfort Station are now working. Thank you for your patience.
