@adriennefriend I agree! Don't forget cobalt, too. But don't you think that ignoring mining all together is the worse we can do? It's not just our devices, it's the whole world that runs on these materials. Why not invest in making the mining conditions better regulated and safer? 🤷🏼

@ChloeMS Do you suggest everyone stays hands off? Maybe better safe than sorry... Or can we learn more about the continent and help in the countries that are ready for it? A lot of countries are on the cusp of becoming more legitimized and more sustainable.

@Tribulation7 I get that. Seems to me that we should be working on our relations with strategic energy countries... The demand is growing quickly the more people realize that renewables are the way to go. Could we cut fossil fuel production AND make green energy more accessible?

@Tribulation7 Why not focus on the best options for renewable energy?

@fishnure "You get out what you put into it"... If we want cheaper energy, we need to invest in more of it. But this return is going to keep multiplying throughout our future. We will see nothing but price drops in all things tech and telecommunication . Not to mention all transportation

@SarahJa47212275 @BarackObama Wow, sounds amazing. I'd love to see the US doing more in Africa. Places like Somalia and the DRC need us and we have so much to gain from them.

@commonpatriot Time for the world to start investing in Africa and finding ways of helping it. Where do we get involved? A continent with such potential.

@annettekiel Isn't there a better way to provide aid in Africa? Maybe they are helping to alleviate the struggle but are by no means offering long term solutions, right? Could the US do more?

@MichalTarny And equally, he knows the less people are concerned with climate change the more they are focused on the US and not on other countries. But this doesn't even make sense!! Doesn't he know that focusing on climate change is America's interest? Besides, who's hurting if we try??

@MichalTarny If we knew what's really good for the world, we would be tackling climate change first and foremost. The repercussions are all too serious to debate the validity of the problem anyway. When will we start preparing for our future?

@fishnure Something we need to wake up to before it's too late and we are left with only being able to progress under China. I wish we were doing more to prepare for our future

@OHarrysChar @maziehirono @SenSchumer While we sit back and watch, other leading nations are making it known of their interests in renewable energy in Africa. Maybe if we were not so scared of addressing the issues in places like Zambia and the DRC we would recognize the opportunity in having good relations with them

@OHarrysChar @maziehirono @SenSchumer And the world will only be run on money, completely disposable for anyone to take from us and do as they please. If we wanted a rich future, we would be investing in clean energy NOW. The money will always come from somewhere, as long as we are relying on some form of energy

@wowdianeacurran We have to do more. But why look for one solution and not incorporate changes everywhere? If the US wanted to really do something in our interest, we should invest in making #batteries with more storage, #solar more accessible, and well everything more accessible. #cobalt

@kellyrued Do you think they are lacking opportunity in areas like the Congo and Zambia that have so much potential in future energy?

@MansaMusaUg @EprnRwanda That's amazing. I know there are a lot of hesitations when it comes to the US getting involved in Africa but any investment in infrastructure (schools, hospitals, agriculture, energy) would help. Especially in areas that are suffering the most like DRC and Zambia.
