To demonstrate the possibility of #inclusive public #analytics #platform, @jknowles created fact sheets on America’s 100 largest #police departments. Each sheet relies on a few key pieces of #data from the #FBI’s Uniform #Crime Report and the US #Census bit.ly/2D41O61

The city reports use 2016 data from the FBI's UCR. They combine that with 2015 American Community Survey and make adjustments for small denominators. But the power comes from comparison and contextualizing arrest rates. Learn more here --> buff.ly/2Fl0JZS #Data4BlackLives

This is imperative: "Accountability can never be a neutral act. All segments of a community must have tools to create performance metrics so that they can dictate the metrics that reflect their values." --> This will be my focus in 2019, building partnerships, working inclusively
