A good example of evaluating technique vs skill is taking a drivers license test consisting of a written test (knowledge about) & driving test on a closed course (not representative)You pass since you have the technique to drive but do you really have the skill to be on the road!

There are so many benefits to “free” play for children. They grow socially and athletically and since it is “free” and unencumbered with the monetary aspect parents don’t need to see results for what they paid for and clubs/coaches don’t need to stamp an adult model on children.
