Nearly 10% of survivors who report sexual violence to their school will drop out. This is known as ‘constructive expulsion.’ Simply put, it means that even though a school didn’t formally dismiss a student, they made it impossible for them to stay.

dear @SecCardona , #INeedIX bc i didn’t know my school was supposed to protect me until after i already transferred. my school didn’t give me any resources; i deserved to feel safe in my own campus but i wasn’t. survivors deserve to feel safe.
