@PhysInHistory You have the story backwards. Einstein originally included the cosmological constant, but removed it when he realized it wasn't needed in a stable universe. He added it back once he realized Hubble was correct. He said his biggest mistake was taking it out in the first place.

@riskylew Wrong word. Capitalism allows people to create companies and if they make good products they survive. Socialism causes people to believe that they can make mediocre crap and expect to continue to be paid. But socialism cannot deal with competition, so it fails 100% of the time.
