It’s looking at their half-built, half-functioning website and thinking “who’s actually signing up to this crap?”
Too many ‘hustle bros’ were (are?) pushing GHL for affiliate money, these kids get sucked in and copy-n-paste each other’s offers
None of them gaining any long-term clients
GHL is a cult: the platform itself is bloated and unusable, and the community feels like one big MLM scheme (because it mostly is)
Clients want simple solutions - as simple as you can imagine, and then a little simpler still - GHL is the opposite of that
@rihntv Depends what part of marketing you mean by “can’t do marketing”?
That’s a but like saying it “can’t do business”
I can do parts of marketing very well, and can’t do other bits
What part do you mean?
@andywalkerhq It’s crazy how many business don’t answer every call that comes in, or call every lead that comes in (or within good time)
It doesn’t matter what you do, you can’t make clients contact leads
Best route is always to put processes in place on your side to ensure contact happens
For a lot of agencies (not us) their 'custom crm' will just be GoHighLevel with their logo thrown on it
(And GHL is unusable, unstable, overcomplicated)
As an agency, your job is to make money for your clients, and unload stress - not make their lives harder
I’m going to make this abundantly clear.
I am not interested in your custom crm.
I use Jobber. My team uses Jobber. I’ve been using them since day 1 and I am not going to change.
I don’t care if yours is cheaper, better or was vibe coded by Jesus himself.
If you think I’m
@BlueCollarInvr A lot of agencies don't understand this
We have our own crm, but our clients (like you) just want more work, more sales, less hassle
If that means we set them up within their own tools, we'll do it. Our job is to put more money in your pocket, not make your life harder.
Depends on the work really
Agents are great at boring repeatable stuff, and will probably replace anything that works off set rules, like accounting
But they still aren't good at anything that involves any creativity
They have bad taste, lack originality in style and ideas, and will probably always 'sound like ai' to some extent
This is similar to those people who have been perfecting their OpenClaw agent for the past 6 months:
They've done nothing else but work on getting it perfect
And now there are out of the box solutions that blow their setup out of the water - they've literally achieved nothing
call me crazy but i actually think if you’ve been vibe coding for the last 12 months you’re at a disadvantage
your expectations of what models like opus 5.5 can do are probably too low and your workflow are probably too complex for their own good
you can literally just tell it
Hard no. This is just dreamland stuff that doesn't make any difference in practice
The best talent won't just not make stuff because of taxes
Europe already has ai companies that work without a tax holiday. ElevenLabs is the obvious one. Grew into a category leader from europe under the same rules as everyone else
I agree with this
All AI companies should have 0% tax for next 10 years in EU
Instant boost to the mostly non-existing AI ecosystem in EU which will then suddenly start existing!
Calling £10m profit a failure shows you don't have a clue
And that financial year only had 1 AJ fight (dubois) not 2
(and the jake paul fight wasn't even matchroom)
For a boxing promoter, that is a pretty strong year
Boxing margins are brutal: stars take a huge cut, most of the demand is only there for the bigger fights, and the different boxing organisations stop anyone running a clean closed league the way the UFC does
And Eddie doesn't just do boxing, he's the chairman of 'matchroom sport', which made over £40m
Darts alone made £16m and is still growing
He's also building a talent agency (including taking on Tom Aspinall)
I'm fairly certain Eddie's pretty happy and will continue to grow this stuff
He already has global relationships, broadcast deals, proven success, and now is pushing talent outside of pure promotion
The Dana White comparisons are just bullshit, and Dana knows he can't do with boxing what he's done with the UFC
A UFC-style boxing league is great in theory, but the biggest names won't take UFC-style pay, and without them people won't watch
And before anyone says "but Turki's money": that's the point, Turki owns 60% of Zuffa
If it takes Saudi cheques to land names like Shakur, that's not the UFC model, it's just another Saudi-funded promoter
Even Eddie's said it, Zuffa Boxing isn't Dana, it's Turki
Regardless, all this stuff is only boosting Eddie's profile
This is Hearn’s last chapter of relevance. Matchroom Boxing couldn’t generate more than £10M in 2025, and that’s with two AJ fights, a Saudi partnership and a DAZN TV deal. That number is going to get substantially worse once AJ retires and Hearn’s profile evaporates. Watch.
Ridiculous take
That's like saying "if I were driving home and could click my fingers and make the traffic disappear, I wouldn't do it, because the goal is to get home, not to reduce traffic"
Don't you value your time enough to want to save some?
I'm not arguing that all AI solutions are good ones (a lot aren't), but trying to find an argument against this one feels obtuse
Saying you don't need an AI agent is like saying you don't need Google because libraries exist
Agents will be baked into everything. You won't go to it, it’ll come to you
You're making plans with a mate on WhatsApp and it’ll point out you're already busy that day
An urgent message comes through any channel (email, text, whatsapp) and it’ll notify you. And genuinely important stuff too, not stuff the sender tags as important
Tickets you really want drop at 9am and you're asleep or stuck at work? It’ll sit in the queue and buy them
Your car insurance is up for renewal so it’ll call your provider and haggle
It’ll keep on top of your 3 kids' worth of clubs and parties, every family birthday, and the dentist appointments you'd have forgotten otherwise
You'll barely open an agent app. It'll live inside the apps you already use and handle boring stuff, so you have more time in your life
In 5 years, saying you don't need one will sound like saying you don't need a phone
I’m a competent adult. Why do I need an “AI agent” to check into a flight for me?
I’m literate. Why do I need an “AI agent” to read and write emails for me? Also, I don’t get so many emails that I can’t answer them myself.
The reason “no one uses AI” is that there’s no
This is part of my point that this kind of AI will largely, for most people, come to you rather than you seeking it out
For me, Google’s AI stuff in search makes their product worse, but I’m not arguing that, I’m just stating the uses will be (& already are) baked into everything
@samarknowsit Yeah I don't think the flight booking example is a good one, but these companies need a task a large portion of people are familiar with to show how they work, the task itself almost doesn't matter
Essentially you'll decide what does and doesn't get offloaded
Had a conversation with a client recently about why showing up two or three times in the sponsored results on Google isn't the win it looks like
They've got three sites with us, all with separate ad accounts, which all generate leads for the same service. We keep them apart from each other on purpose so each one brings in a different type of lead
They also use other agencies, who run their own pages and campaigns. Searches for the service and a fair chunk of the ads lead back to this client's business in one way or another, and all of them are bidding against each other
If you picture an auction for one lead: You're in it with two competitors, and to 'improve your odds' you bring five mates along to bid as well. Bidding opens at £5. You go £10, Competitor A goes £15, Competitor B £20, you £25. Your mate bids £30 and A drops out. B hangs on until £45 and then gives up too
At that point the lead is yours, but nobody told your mates, so they carry on. £50, £55, £60, £70. By the time only one of you is left you're paying £150 for a lead your competitors walked away from at £45
Then the same thing happens again on the next lead and the next lead and the next lead...
With Google the bidding is done by algorithms and runs in milliseconds, but the idea is the same. You pay just enough to beat the ad directly below yours. If that ad belongs to your own business, you're essentially setting your own price. Each agency is judged on its own numbers, so each one is trying to win, and over a few weeks they push each other's costs up while your real competitors watch from further down the page
On top of that, the same person can click two or three of your ads and you pay for both. If they fill in the form on two sites, two agencies report a lead and you've paid for one customer twice
More sites and more agencies can bring in more leads. But they need to be run as one strategy, with someone checking who's bidding on what
I had a similar thing
I cancelled this as I hadn't used it in a few months. Instead of just cancelling and cutting my losses it pursued it for me and I got $1000+ back.
Like you, I really didn't think a company would do this for me, but with an agent pursuing this you have nothing to lose. The thing is, they might not have, and in that case I would've wasted my time if I pursued this manually
