Create great content, and a great audience will come...
You should preferably have a plan for monetisation right from the start... But that doesn't mean that you need to monetise straight away
In general the more customers you have, the higher the overheads. Maybe you should concentrate on having fewer customers?
If you are selling, then sell a quality product. Quality products maintain a long term business.
The whole point of being in business is to make money. It's not always your customers that pay though. Enter: Advertising revenue.
Skilled workers are worth the money and can save you a huge amount of time. Finding the right worker isn't easy though.
Launching your website without products but generating leads, is preferable to launching a perfect website 2 months late with no leads.
If you can't decide what CMS to use, don't waste time. Just go with wordpress. At least you'll have something up and running...
Seek advise on what you need to build for your business offline, and integrate this with your online business model.
Give something away for free... but remember to highlight how much it's actually worth...
Keep your customers happy, and they'll spread the word for you.
Play to your strengths. If you're no good at design then outsource it.
Providing a great service? Then maybe you should charge a premium. Sometimes having fewer customers is the best way to go.
Getting your business up quickly is essential. Don't polish it too much before launch. Always keep the 80/20 rule in mind.
