2022 and, now 2023 is teaching us that #crypto was replicating #tradefi in setting up intermediaries. This brought extreme counterparty risk to #defi. #hbd in savings is an example of DeFi where the blockchain is the counterparty not some institution.

$hbd is stable because the peg is on conversion not the market. As long as the haircut rate is below 30%, the peg is in effect. This makes #hive's stablecoin different from the rest of the industry.
