This is what the Roman senate looked like and, unlike in film and paintings, it was not semicircular.

Under Franco: - Divorce was illegal. - Abortion was considered a sin against God & the state. - Rothschild was refused banking. - Israel was never recognized. - Catholicism was the national religion. - Child s*x offenders were executed. - Housing was readily available.

Said Abdelrazek converted from Islam to Christianity and wasnt ashamed ✝️ For that, Egypt locked him in 10th of Ramadan Prison. He was hung in a crucifixion position so guards and inmates could mock him. They removed a cross tattoo off his body. He still would not recant. On July 15, 2025, they arrested him againthis time for trying to change his ID to match his faith. The charge: terrorism. The real reason: he left Islam. His health is collapsing. Medical care is being withheld. His next hearing is October 21, 2026. That date could decide whether he lives or disappears💔 This is not terrorism. This is apostasy treated as a national-security crime. Remember those in prison as if you were there with them. (Hebrews 13:3) Demand his release. Share his name. Do not let this stay quiet. #FreeSaidAbdelrazek #ReligiousFreedom #ChristianPersecutionShorter Said Abdelrazek is in an Egyptian prison because he became a Christian. They hung him in a crucifix position. They tried to remove his cross tattoo. Now they call it “terrorism.” Hearing: October 21, 2026. He could face death or life in prison in only 18 days!! Stand with our brother in Christ ✝️ If not now when ? #FreeSaidAbdelrazek #EndChristianPersecution

33 years ago this weekend, two Delta Force snipers made a choice almost nobody would make. Master Sergeant Gary Gordon was 33, from Lincoln, Maine, with a wife and two young kids at home. Sergeant First Class Randy Shughart was 35, a farm kid from Newville, Pennsylvania. On October 3, 1993, they were in a Black Hawk circling over Mogadishu when another Black Hawk, Super 64, was shot down. Pilot Mike Durant was alive in the wreckage with a broken back and a crushed leg. His crew was hurt. There were no friendly ground forces anywhere near them, and hundreds of armed militia and locals were already converging on the crash site. From the air, Gordon and Shughart could see exactly what was coming. They asked to be dropped in. Command said no. They asked again. No again. They asked a third time and finally got the green light. Their helicopter set them down nearby and they fought their way to the wreck on foot. Two men, carrying only what they had on them. They pulled Durant out of the cockpit, set him up in a safer position, and started holding off the crowd. For a while, it worked. They kept the mob back with precise, steady fire while the numbers against them kept growing. Shughart was killed first. Gordon kept fighting alone. When he was nearly out of ammunition, he went back to Durant, handed him a rifle, and told him good luck. Then he went back out. He was killed minutes later. Durant was captured, beaten, and held for 11 days. He came home alive. He has said for decades that he's only here because of those two men. In 1994 Gordon and Shughart were posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the first since Vietnam. The Navy later named two ships after them, the USNS Gordon and the USNS Shughart. They didn't stumble into that fight. They watched it from above, understood the odds, and asked three times to go anyway. Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart. Remember their names.

Ryan casually showing us once again that to be a modern Protestant, you have to believe that Christians for 2,000 years, including Christians who knew the Apostles themselves, were wrong about Scripture and the faith. But you, a 21st-century Christian with a Bible and a private interpretation, finally got it right. Amazing.

The Bible vs Church Fathers

A tragedy has struck my family. My daughter was still born, after an emergency c-section. My wife almost lost her life. Please pray for the two of us during this difficult time.

Her husband was an atheist. He mocked her beliefs. He tried to destroy her faith and later admitted: “I nearly succeeded.” She fought her way back and became deeply devoted to her Catholic faith. Elisabeth Leseur didn’t just pray for Félix’s conversion. She begged God to send her sufferings as an offering for his soul. She developed breast cancer. She suffered through surgery, declining health, and eventually death in 1914. Before she died, she told Félix: “I will die first. And when I die, you will be converted; and when you are converted, you will become a religious.” He responded: “Elisabeth, you know my sentiments. I’ve sworn hatred of God; I shall live in that hatred and I shall die in it.” She died. In 1923, the atheist husband, who had once tried to destroy his wife’s faith, was ordained a Catholic priest. She offered everything: Her prayers, her suffering, her life, for the conversion of her husband. And God was faithful.

Mary Anne Marks, Harvard’s valedictorian in 2010, is now a Catholic nun with the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is remembered for delivering her Harvard commencement address entirely in Latin.

The old bridge carried traffic and gave Hamburg a landmark. Its replacement carries traffic.

A once familiar sight in Catholic schools: one nun teaching a class of upwards to 60-80 children—and yet Catholic school students consistently outperformed their public school peers. “Let it be known to all who enter here that Jesus Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen but ever-present teacher in all its classes, the model of its faculty, and the inspiration for its students.”

The church I randomly walked into in Peru because it looked cool, and inside I decided to pray for the first time in my life.

In 1855, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson founded a Bible school for free black children and slaves where he and other volunteers taught them to read. He taught there regularly until the war, then continued funding it until he was killed. Among the six slaves he owned was one who asked Jackson to buy him so that he could more easily buy his own freedom at a later date (with Jackson’s encouragement, he did). Another was an older woman who also requested that he purchase her. A third was a young girl, likely with disabilities, who an elderly widow asked Jackson to purchase from her to secure the girl’s future. When Jackson departed for the war, he left instructions that she was to be cared. The other three came into his possession via marriage. Plenty of firsthand accounts beginning long before the war and up to his death describe a humble, kind, dutiful, and charitable man, who was socially awkward and almost completely unconcerned with what other people thought of him.
