Why is pharma suing to stop President Biden from lowering prescription drug prices? Follow the money. Januvia, Merck's diabetes drug, costs $547 in the US but just $16 in France. Eliquis, Bristol-Myers Squibb’s blood clot drug, costs $561 in the US but just $63 in Germany.
@SenSanders Political business model... follow the money
@SenSanders ... because the government is paying the rest of it.. The cost is just hidden in taxes.
@SenSanders Wouldn't it of made sense to just pass a law saying we pay what the world pays? We've known for years our health care system subsidizes the world. We could have stopped it without negotiation, but my guess is you aren't interested in raising prices for socialized medicine.
@SenSanders They're gonna cash in on vaccines either way..
@SenSanders Socialists don't own multiple mansions.
@SenSanders Thought you were still sponsored by @pfizer
@SenSanders Why does the drug industry get away with scalping US citizens--who help pay for the development of new medications--while overseas citizens pay far more reasonable prices? Stop the drug industry rip off of Americans.
@SenSanders @JohnMac563 Medicine for rare diseases will no longer have funding due to the Biden administration. Though I am no fan of big pharma they will no longer have the funding to conduct research and development.
