@cmkl I believe they are citing risk when snow piles up (which is of course relative) and know that Jeff Leiper and @ArielTroster have raised issue with it as the local councillors.

Missed my bus so walking home and reminded that even with the direction of the city leaving a lot to be desired, you can achieve small but impactful quality of life changes. A curb cut, winter cleared stairs and better protection for our tree canopy in urban and suburban wards.

@Dino__Giorgio Dino, I’ve provided this information to you already. That figure was being used as a risk of voting no (with no mitigation plan), seeing OSEG leave, the teams pack up, and events ending at Lansdowne. It was never just ‘maintenance’ which is lower than $1 million annually.

The public deserved so much better on Lansdowne. It repeats a pattern similar to LRT, urban boundary expansion, and other large files. Thank you to those who brought more transparency and accountability on this in pursuit of a better city. #Ottnews cbc.ca/news/canada/ot…
