An apparently hot take: Christmas should expand into January, not drift back into November Put down the mistletoe and enjoy the rest of apple season, you freaks!

When a large employer pays so little that their full time employees qualify for Medicaid , (or any public assistance ) we the taxpayers are effectively subsidizing that big company. That’s wrong

The best way to reduce the cost of Medicaid is to name and shame big employers that pay their full time employees so little, they qualify for Medicaid

Miyazaki spent his entire life building one of the most expansive and imaginative bodies of work, all so you could rip it off and use it as a filter for your vacation photos. Not into this one bit. Protect artists.

And the benefit is that one day you too will need something. And people will bend, make ways, be annoyed and be inconvenienced to make sure you have it.

I miss all the versions of my kids that have passed by. It’s so weird, but I know we all feel this way. Where did my squishy baby go? Where did my silly little toddler go? Why can’t I have all of them at once? I love every version tho obv, they’re growing up to be so cool, but 😭

A 32 hour four day work week without loss in pay would do more for our overall quality of life and wellbeing than nearly any other singular socioeconomic change

Wait until you discover that people who don’t WFH also don’t work every moment of their 9-5 in the office. They’re just forced to fuck around in their spinny chair rather than do useful things around their home but somehow people think it’s different

I’ve yet to meet one person who works from home that actually works from 9am to 5pm with a 30 minute lunch in-between with the occasional bathroom break.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but I think Christmas lights should stay up all winter (except for like obvious Santa ones) cause it makes the gloomy days prettier and helps seasonal depression

The fact that people have flattened Ghibli movies into "cozy vibes" is so disappointing to me. Ghibli movies are, many things of course, but they're also violent, political, sad, hard, about family, loss, friendship, conflict, war, the environment, depression, grief

Anyone outraged at the attack today should remember that Israel has already bombed at least 19 Palestinian hospitals or health centers in the past 10 days.
