Random note for #TexasHockey fans... I can confirm the Stars players who were supposed to be featured in season 2 of Faceoff on Amazon -- Mikko Rantanen, Wyatt Johnston, and Thomas Harley -- will not be. I was told the NHL chose not to use them after filming was complete.

One important thing to note here: Jason Robertson’s qualifying offer will be $9.3M after this season. Team can sign him to 1x9.3M deal without issue. Sure, it’s not ideal situation as it’d walk him straight into UFA territory but saying this is his last year in Dallas is false.

This looks to be mostly the expected NHL roster. We’ll see which of Hryckowian and Hyry see action tonight. Also notable that Kolyachonok is in over Petrovic. Oettinger likely gets the final home start, so DeSmith is in tonight.

Mason McTavish, signed 6x$7M by ANA, is a developing middle six centre. Has produced pretty well and shown flashes of high-end skill playing through contact and making smart small-area plays, but skating and especially defence have really held him back so far. #FlyTogether
