Assange in jail for almost 5 years now. Never been tried. Never convicted of any crime. Just held, indefinitely, for exposing US war crimes & embarrassing powerful people. It’s called marcescence, that refusal by beech trees and oak trees to let go of their leaves in the winter. Not a very pretty word for such a beautiful thing. This little beech tree was a veritable star in the spotlight, shining its copper leaves so brightly in the winter dark.
