@UnrealSensei If someone wants to use ai use the tag. if you dont want the tag dont use ai - its that simple. if you want to speed up development by having ai do it for you use the tag. consumers want to know if you use ai so theres no need to lie about it to get more support.
@GreatestEzel @JonasTyroller copying work from stack overflow is nothing like using AI - you cant just copy and paste from stack overflow and expect it to work - you need to mold it into your own code base. AI can do the entire work for you without even understanding how the system works.
@StudiozYT @JonasTyroller Players have the right to not support a method of creation because it steals other peoples work. not disclosing it is just lying to players so that your project looks better than it is. If you are embarrassed by your use of ai and dont want to disclose it then dont use AI.
Heres a speed build of me putting together a industrial style building using the modular pieces i made plus a modular toolkit ive been working on! my modelling sucks but as a level designer i am learning so much! #blender #indiegames #indiegamedev #3dartwork #gamedev
feeling sad looking at the state of this next fest. 8k demos... 1 in 3 games are ai made Tried out a few demos and clearly no work was even put into it past the first prompt. How do indies get their games out there with all this noise? Is the indie dream over?? #SteamNextFest
Spent the weekend building a modular kit for buildings! inspired by industrial era achitecture :) let me know what you think! #gamedevelopment #indiegameDev #indiegame
@thomasbrushdev to me seeing all the ai made content you can see the cheap manufacture. just as easy to tell the difference between a cheap made bowl and a hand made one. People will buy the machine bowl just to have a bowl but when they want to appreciate something they buy the hand made.
@thomasbrushdev I had this conversation with other developers at work, we decided its like pottery - theres people out there who enjoy a $50 hand made pots for its craftmanship and style when there are machines making millions of 50c pots. the hand made craftmanship will always exist.
@thomasbrushdev Youre right! No matter what the tools can do they cant replace the human creative genius and invention and innovation. we still have that above any magic tool out there :)
finding my way back
