If/else/switch statements are problematic because of the dependency structure they encourage. The cases often point outwards towards other modules, creating a dragnet of transitive dependencies that point from higher level modules to lower level modules.

This article aims to clear up some of the most common misunderstandings about SwiftUI, especially for developers (like me!) who are used to object-oriented frameworks like UIKit. Fully understanding the semantics that SwiftUI views use is really key 🙂 swiftbysundell.com/articles/the-l…

@jnadeau Too bad its called a "Room" instead of an Area. I wonder if you can customize it!

@recluze @CodesCarla What are you trying to know about the candidate's proficiency by asking that question ? Everyones experience can be different and feels like there is no correct answer to that question. Probably phrasing the question to reflect your expectations would be better.

@svpino @Woody72_ nice!

@hnshah Focus on addressing customer needs and improving your product!

Had an opportunity to teach Dependency Inversion today. Still amazes me that a small difference in changing the way you think can radically improve the quality of everything you do Fun to share it with team too #programmer #programmingtips #dependencyInversion #SoftwareDeveloper

and much deserved

#iosDevTip Looking to save some space on your dev machine... try deleting Logs in ~/Library/Logs/CoreSimulator along with the old simulators!

My M1 MacBook Pro arrived today. Chances are you have various questions, but I think a whole lot is summed up in this 50-second video. (Alt text, because Twitter still doesn't make this easy: Xcode 12.3 beta unzips in 5 minutes on an M1, vs 13 minutes 22 seconds on an Intel i9)

Realized that you can select multiple tabs in #Chrome and drag them together. Noiceee!!

I knew I should have written tests first! But I thought: “oh, just this once. It won’t matter.”

this electrical transmission tower has a little problem. can you spot it? actually, it's not a small problem--it cost us 16.65 *billion* dollars and caused the deaths of 85 people.

Love VScode! I use Xcode to manage my iOS/macOS projects but VSCode for everyday coding needs.

When your code has several levels of indirection and multiple levels of passing the same dependency over and over, it's a huge code smell. Please do something about it or your team will continue to lack productivity! #SoftwareEngineering
