Ever since @OpenAI’s recent voice mode update, I’ve personally avoided using Advanced Voice Mode and instead opt for the transcription button in the app. The inflections in the voices are so unpleasant now, and the text based model feels much more genuine anyways.

Tip for using OpenAI's Codex product: When looking to make a significant change to a codebase, use the `Ask` feature, and include the phrase "Please suggest tasks to complete <feature description>". This produces a set of detailed tasks that can be easily modified / kicked off.

Codex is the first AI that I have used that consistently writes meaningful tests and remembers to run them as well as other sanity check tools before finalizing a response. I wrote a piece of software for work that came with 90% test coverage for free.

My hope that as “Dead Internet Theory” inches closer to reality due to AI, such as Veo 3, that people are forced off of the internet and back into the real world. That’s one potential benefit of the destructive side to AI. Either that or people will be pulled in even harder.…
