With the Mayor's amending motion on the floor, here's an updated vote intention graphic. #yhmcc
Ward 9 Clr Clark says he has full confidence in the ability of @hsr to operate LRT on Day One.
There is a lot of fluidity on the main motion as amended. To avoid confusion, I am not posting an expected vote -- in part cause there is some procedural quirks underway. #yhmcc
Ward 12 Clr Cassar notes how the City uses private operators to provide public services. Ward 7 Clr Pauls says she wants to ensure success of the LRT, and that the best way to ensure long-term success is to follow the successful Waterloo model, then HSR take over 10 years #yhmcc
@JoeyColeman Nrinder absent for the vote? This Council is so divided , @ @AndreaHorwath Makes on good decision on Parking lots, but is on side Metrolinx and her friend Ford. Nice try putting in that amendment, didn't save who you really are.
@w_mehlenbacher @JoeyColeman @AndreaHorwath Clr Nann stated at the start of the meeting that she had to leave at 3:00 for a medical appointment.
@StewFromHamOnt @JoeyColeman @AndreaHorwath Why one would make a medical appointment on general issues committe meeting, unless it was a emergency that came up. I understand health comes first.
@w_mehlenbacher @StewFromHamOnt @JoeyColeman @AndreaHorwath Because it can take years to get an appointment with a doctor and the appointment date may have been set in advance of the Council meeting schedule. It may not have been possible to foresee the issues to be voted on during that particular meeting
@Sonjalovesbikes @w_mehlenbacher @JoeyColeman @AndreaHorwath Especially considering this vote should have been done Jan 29th, and was set for at least 3 different dates after it was delayed by Horwath.
