Angel was an engaging storyteller to listen to when hearing about lore that happened before my time in the community, and it was so easy to get sucked in by his passion when he'd talk about things like his goal for a double TCG/VGC invite this year.
RIP to Angel, man. I always admired how he would take multiple years off from VGC, come back, and dominate. We got to be teammates in WCOP for maybe 3 years for US East. I'll never forget him complimenting me on my play and it making my week. I really looked up to him
Without him, I wouldn’t be playing and I wouldn’t have grown to meet and love so many people. His ears and his heart were always open. I’ve never met anyone who celebrated and loved his friends as much as he did. I am going to miss you so much buddy. I love you and always will.
Angel Miranda was one of the nicest, friendliest people I had the pleasure of knowing. From all the old IRC group chats to IRL tournaments, he was a huge part of the Pokemon community for over a decade. Life really isn’t fair to have lost someone like you so early. RIP Angel

Really sad to hear the news about @AngelJMiranda. I didn't know Angel too well, but from my few interactions, he seemed like a wonderful person who loved Pokémon. I was really rooting for him to get his invite for both TCG and VG this season. My condolences to his loved ones. ❤️
I'm finally home from Knoxville and wanted to say I've been up since 3am because last night I learned what happened to Angel. He was at my wedding and I'll always have many treasured memories of him, I'm blessed to have never lost a friend like this until now. I love you man

I wish to extend condolences and regret to the family, friends and loved ones of Angel Miranda. I have always held his passionate and innovative play in the highest possible respect and admiration. He is an irreplacable competitor, sportsman, leader and friend to many.
10 years ago, I signed up NB and got to know Angel. In 2014, we met at Worlds and had a blast. I didn't go to '15 Worlds but I heard Angel welcomed KR players and even let them stay at his place when it was too late after the party. Thanks for your kindness. Rest in peace.
Didn’t have the chance of knowing Angel personally but he was someone I respected as a player, and from what I’ve noticed and heard he was a great friend and amazing person. I’m so sorry for his loss and send love and peace to his close friends and family ❤️
When I started getting into VGC, Angel was one of the players I looked up to the most. Over the last couple years I've had the privilege of calling him a friend. He was a brilliant builder and player, a charismatic story teller, and a truly kindhearted and caring person❤️
