SA's high 15% Point of Consumption (POC) tax is hurting racing families. We're asking the Government for a level playing field. #SupportSARacingJobs supportsaracingjobs.com South Australia, Australia Joined December 2018

Thoroughbred racing in SA: 🔴 has the nation’s highest POC tax rate at 15%; 🔴 receives ZERO of the tax revenue; & 🔴 receives ZERO funding from the State Gov. All we're asking for is a level playing field with the other racing states. @Rob_Lucas @TheRacesSA #SupportSARacingJobs

Trainers & owners are already moving interstate. Our industry, that is loved by so many South Aussies is at risk – along with thousands of SA Jobs. We need to act now. Send a message to the Minister for Racing, @Corey_Wingard. Go to: supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved. #SupportSARacingJobs

Every racehorse employs dozens of South Australians. Beyond trainers and jockeys, each horse supports the jobs of vets, feed producers, stable staff and more. The State Gov’s unfair POC tax threatens jobs far beyond the racetrack. supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved #SupportSARacingJobs

SA's racing industry's revenue was growing at an average of 9% p.a over the 4 years preceding the tax. This financial year it’s going backwards. A sustainable racing industry is vital for SA. The State Gov must act now to prevent further damage. @Rob_Lucas #SupportSARacingJobs

In 2019 so far, there have been almost 80 thoroughbred race meetings in SA. From Penong to Penola there have been great events & good crowds, but financially the industry remains well behind where it should be & where it was prior to the POC tax. @TheRacesSA #SupportSARacingJobs

While it's great seeing SA trainers expand, this move is further proof of how badly the State Gov's 15% tax is hurting SA #racing. @Corey_Wingard @Rob_Lucas @marshall_steven MUST act to stop the flow of jobs interstate and to help racing continue to grow. adelaidenow.com.au/sport/superrac…

The unfair POC tax is crippling SA’s racing industry. Every month we fall further behind the other states – through no fault of our own. We need the entire racing community & everyone who loves racing to get involved at: supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved @Corey_Wingard #SupportSARacingJobs

In 2019 so far, SA thoroughbred racing has been forced to slash infrastructure grants by $2.25M & cut prize money by $1.5M – money which is no longer available to pay wages of the thousands employed by the industry. @Rob_Lucas @Corey_Wingard @TheRacesSA #SupportSARacingJobs

All we’re asking for is a more competitive 10% POC tax rate & the investment of POC tax revenue back into the industry from which it was generated. SA Racing receives nothing from the POC tax, nor any other funding from the State Gov. supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved #SupportSARacingJobs

One of racing’s great strengths is its people. Tens of thousands of people in SA love racing & make a living from it. We need to protect this important industry & employer - tell @Corey_Wingard to fix the unfair POC tax at: supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved #SupportSARacingJobs @TheRacesSA

Recent cuts to prizemoney mean average prizemoney in SA is now much lower than other major racing States, forcing people interstate to race & train. These cuts are a direct result of lack of Gov investment @Corey_Wingard. #SupportSARacingJobs supportsaracingjobs.com

Over the last 4 years, racing industry revenue was increasing annually, with investments in infrastructure & prizemoney also growing consistently. Since the introduction of the 15% tax, both areas have been hit & are declining. Tell the Gov to act NOW, at: supportsaracingjobs.com/get-involved
