This part right here. If the Gospel you received was just about not going to hell, you got the Great Value Gospel. Like yeah… it’s technically Gospel, but the original joint gon hit different & you only gon choose the store brand when you pinchin pennies.

“Taking the Lord’s name in vain” isn’t about saying “oh my god” when you’re frustrated. It’s about using the name of Jesus to justify oppression, marginalization and violence. It’s about calling yourself a Christian without doing the work of Christ—justice, liberation and love.

There are not moderate House Republicans. There are just different degrees of fealty to Donald Trump. Some of the most ‘moderate members’ casted votes for things like 80% cuts under the Dept of Education to low income schools. This is not a moderate party, period.

Folks aren't looking for a perfect church, and I wish the churched would stop using that as a rhetorical bludgeon. They're looking for a church with a pattern of integrity that is committed to doing the right thing, no matter what the cost.
