Apr 25, 1964: the last day for @canadianpacific trains Nos. 21 and 22 between Toronto and Detroit. Dayliners took over the route the next day. This ended CP parlor and dining car service in southwestern Ontario as well as a through sleeping car between Montreal and Detroit.

GO never needed Gallery Cars because they used to have entry and exit gates at each station before moving to a proof of payment fare system. The Bilevels are a good design and influenced future commuter car designs.

Gallery Cars! I got to ride these once in Montreal before they were retired. They are still the type used by Metra in Chicago because they have conductors checking tickets and can do both floors at once.

Front end Friday! The Queen of Toronto, CNR U-2-g, 4-8-4, Northern #6213 heads across one of the bridges on our layout! 6213 is preserved at the Toronto Railway Museum, it was donated to the City of Toronto, displayed at the CNE grounds. It moved to Roundhouse Park in 2009. #FEF
