It's a NEW year & Atoll Academy (YouTube) will be a bright new addition to the genius of long distance learning in educating island teens.
Where will Atoll Academy be 1 year from now? That's the trillion dollar question! I predict an enthusiastic student group eager to learn.
I get thousands of emails every month from worried youths. Their hormones are in overdrive but education is lacking. "Ask Dr. John" on web.
It should be no secret to intelligent-thinking people that medically accurate info can help sexually active teens (the majority) avoid HIV.
Today, teens are the only population where mortality rates from AIDS are increasing, not decreasing (UNICEF) - so why do adults deny facts?!
What should I do? Get a new laptop with solar power - or buy a Yeti generator with extra batteries?? Priorities matter with limited funds.
Why would an older guy with health issues give up modern life & comforts for the remote Pacific? Cuz school will save teen islanders' lives!
