"I have a lot to say, but I’ve decided on just a few words. Breathe. Read the book you’ve been wanting to, listen to your favorite song one more time, open your eyes and day dream. Just live." Journal excerpt, Calumet Park Bench, San Diego, CA

If there's beauty in simplicity, then our original Bench Project Bench must be the belle of the ball. ✨ The Bench Project Bench proudly features our logo along the back, inviting all visitors to take a seat and go inside themselves for a little while.🪑

The Bench Project is a nationwide effort to inspire people to embrace connection and explore their inner creativity. If you'd like to be part of our project, then come sit with us and feel free to express your thoughts! 🫶

It's #NationalHandwritingDay! Today is all about celebrating the power of the pen and recognizing the importance of writing out our thoughts. ✍️ And what better way to do that than by opening up your journal and writing on a fresh new page? 📝

In a time where most of our communication is done virtually, we're making fewer and fewer opportunities for genuine connection. 👨‍💻 We'd like to bring communication back to the basics, by encouraging you to visit one of our benches & writing in an accompanying journal.

For the countless number of people suffering with depression, a brighter future can feel impossible to reach. That's why it's important to do simple activities that encourage positivity, like journaling. 📓
