So, today was a long day. The positive-we hustled and got money to extend the hotel a few more days. Negative-my mom's cat of 17 years passed tonight. Something about death bothers me. Ever since I OD'd & touched deaths peace, when someone passes, i envy them...smh.

I met a homeless man who calls himself Shaq. He came from Kansas City because he heard it was easy to be homeless in Portland. He heard about lax policies on homelessness and drug use. So far he says he’s having a blast.
A homeless woman with severe mental illness and deep into her addiction still has so much empathy for others. She deeply regrets saying something hurtful to someone who then died a day later. There is just so much suffering and pain on the streets. 😞
