@libertyanders He is right to be upset and take strong issue with this. He is wrong to divorce her for it.

12 habits of highly effective dads: 1) Spend some time alone every day. Use this to fill your own cup, whatever works for you. Give time to yourself 2) Strenuous exercise, sprints, heavy lifts, sparring, 3x week for minimum 30 minutes 3) No phones at dinner table, no exceptions. Bonus points for going full no phones when you're around your kids at all (hard to be perfect on this, we shoot for about 90%) 4) Eat and chew food slowly. Count to 45 Mississippi before you take the next bite. One of the main things that make people fat is they eat too fast. You can't afford to let yourself go. 5) Make your wife & kids laugh, every single day. Not by being a clown, but by being funny, charming, or having an eccentric personality. 6) Praise your kids in front of others. "Secondhand praise" is one of the most powerful builders of their self-image. Make sure they hear you do it. 7) Spend 30 minutes outside every day. Easiest way for me to get this done is in the morning when everyone's still asleep. Do this even when it's cold, I don't care. 8) Compliment your wife in front of others. Never disparage her in front of others. Bonus points if she hears the compliment. 9) Invest & save some money every single day. Even if it's just $5/day at first. Make this a habit and put it on autopilot. 10) Read to your kids every single night. No exceptions. Even as they get older. Start with basic picture books for young kids. 10 year old boys love Lord of the Rings, etc 11) Speak words of affirmation to your kids every single day. No exceptions. People claim you can "overdo" this, I don't buy it. Say you believe in them. Say you're proud of them, and mean it. 12) Verbalize your gratitude every single day. Don't just write it down in a trendy "gratitude journal". Your subconscious needs to hear the words coming out of your mouth. Say it in front of your wife and kids. "I'm so glad I get to be here with you. I'm so grateful." Simple. Do each of these every day and you'll notice your life get better by default. The reason I love this list is because it's a system. They're actionable things you can do, and they're binary. You either did them or you didn't. There's no weaseling out. Of course you won't be perfect. Take that pressure off yourself right now. I miss workouts and eat fast sometimes etc etc. But if you do them, consistently, earnestly and to the best of your ability, there's a 100% chance your life improves.

Pro tip: design your nation’s immigration policy so you don’t have to worry about a global day of jihad.

Jesus knows. Pray about it. Then go to sleep and enjoy your new mercies tomorrow morning.

“Conservative” populist media is reporting that Israel is bombing Gaza with nowhere for civilians and children to go. Bullsh!t. Not only does IDF warn civilians by sounds and texts to leave the area, they also provide instructions in Arabic on how to get to a safety corridor that Israel set up for them.

Seriously guys, go read Psalm 37 right now if you're feeling overwhelmed by it all. Chew on that Psalm for a few days and let the Lord reorient your perspective. Our hope is living, eternal, immortal, inexorable. The Lord is on our side.

Phone call I just got from someone who works with a diplomat frightened me and not many things frighten me. I would not be in a big city for the next 12 months.

Sources telling me that there were emergency intel meetings this weekend to discuss the rise of Hamas terror cells that are operating in American cities. These HAMAS terrorists came across the US border and are apparently planning to attack major US cities over the next 14 months. HAMAS has directed their supporters in their telegram to retaliate against Americans for US support of Israel.

@Mike_Pence I used to think you were a good man. I can’t believe how wrong I was.

This morning, on Shabbat and a holiday, Hamas invaded Israeli territory and murdered innocent citizens including children and the elderly. Hamas has started a brutal and evil war. We will be victorious in this war despite an unbearable price. This is a very difficult day for all of us. Hamas wants to murder us all. This is an enemy that murders children and mothers in their homes, in their beds, an enemy that abducts the elderly, children and young women, that slaughters and massacres our citizens, including children, who simply went out to enjoy the holiday. What happened today is unprecedented in Israel – and I will see to it that it does not happen again. The entire government is behind this decision. The IDF will immediately use all its strength to destroy Hamas's capabilities. We will destroy them and we will forcefully avenge this dark day that they have forced on the State of Israel and its citizens. As Bialik wrote: 'Revenge for the blood of a little child has yet been devised by Satan'. All of the places which Hamas is deployed, hiding and operating in, that wicked city, we will turn them into rubble. I say to the residents of Gaza: Leave now because we will operate forcefully everywhere. At this hour, the IDF is clearing the terrorists out of the last communities. They are going community by community, house by house, and are restoring our control. I embrace and send heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families whose loved ones were murdered today in cold blood and endless brutality. We are all praying for the well-being of the wounded and all those who are being held hostage. I say to Hamas: You are responsible for their well-being. Israel will settle accounts with anyone who harms one hair on their heads. I appeal to the residents of the south: We all stand alongside you. We are all proud of your heroism and your fighting. To our beloved IDF soldiers, police officers and security forces personnel, remember that you are the continuation of the heroes of the Jewish people, of Joshua, Judah Maccabee and the heroes of 1948 and of all of Israel's wars. You are now fighting for the home and future of us all. We are all with you. We all love you. We all salute you. To the medical and rescue teams, and the many volunteers who came out in force today in a long list of places, the people of Israel salute you. With your spirit, we will overcome our enemies. Today, I spoke with US President Biden and with other world leaders in order to ensure freedom of action for Israel in the continuation of the campaign. I thank President Biden for his strong and clear words. I thank the President of France, the Prime Minister of Great Britain and many other leaders for their unreserved support for Israel. I now appeal to all citizens of Israel: We stand together in this campaign. This war will take time. It will be difficult. Challenging days are ahead of us. However, I can promise one thing: With the help of G-d, the forces that we all have in common and our faith in the Eternal One of Israel, we will win.

I don't know who needs to hear this but read to your kids. Read to them more than you think you should. And then read to them even more. And finally, for good measure, read to them a little bit more than that.

Florida’s law allowing the death penalty for child rapists is now in effect. The minimum sentence is life in prison without parole. In Florida, anyone who harms children in such a horrific way will never walk free.
