@FlyersNation Good move. Clearly,Bump isn’t NHL ready and now he can play in the AHL for the remainder of the year. He came up too soon. And it allows Luchenko and Knuble to continue to develop in the AHL without the Flyers calling them up prematurely.

@charlieo_conn Or he just doesn’t want to be on the left coast.

@Raiderfrank65 @charlieo_conn @WalterMurphy71 @BiladelphiaPHLY @PHLY_Flyers And it opens up the Flyers to retaliation when Martone, Michkov and others are RFA’s.

@ctherien6 No decision at all. Matvei has not performed in any capacity. Flat footed, lacks speed, loses puck battles, weak on the boards. The game is either too fast for him in the playoffs or he’s just lazy. He’s still young and maybe he will adjust but right now, he’s simply overmatched.

@SportsRadioWIP The impressive part about Martone is that he’s playing this well near the end of the season when the teams all tighten up defensively and play playoff style hockey.

@goalfarabee86 @fixingbenjamin It is when the overall team speed is poor and he’s the fastest player by far. Now, if he’s traded for a defenseman that can actually bring the puck up ice with speed similar to a Lane Hutson, then I’d consider a trade.

@TheLibertyYell @BarDownBroadSt @afern_alex Flyers are a slow team and have 0 players other than possibly Jett coming that are fast. I can’t see them moving Tippett.

@charlieo_conn I can’t help but think he’s nothing more than a LTIR candidate with his next team. Not to mention he’s a sieve defensively and Tocchet would just love that.

@johnpuck1992 You are aware that’s he’s still a teenager, right? Maybe he develops, maybe not. But it’s still way too early to write him off.

@FlyersNation @Flyers_Clips Ok. The hockey IQ comment isn’t attributed to Tocchet but “they were like”. Maybe is was Rick, maybe not. Plus, the statement could have been true at the time it was made or maybe the player embellished the statement. Or like I said, it could all be accurate. Any others? That’s 1

@FlyersNation @Flyers_Clips Serious question, not being a smart ass. Of the Europeans that Tocchet has given up on, pushed out of organizations while he was coaching etc., who has gone on to have better careers after vs when they’ve played for him?

So if Jiricek is coming to Philly, who is the odd man out or is it a precursor to another D man being moved?

@Raiderfrank65 All teams are in play during the offseason and not just teams wanting to add for a playoff push. It’s a risk because of injury history but if no offers aredecent now, you roll the dice instead of just unloading a player. Plus, Danny would be setting a precedent by selling cheap.

@charlieo_conn Another example of the awful NMC that players get. What were the Rangers going to do? It was the only team Panarin wanted to go to.

@billmeltzer What do you think? Should Denver had been sent down to stay sharp?

@Raiderfrank65 I’ve been saying the same thing for weeks. He gets the same number of shifts as other forwards but MM comes off early because he’s out of shape. Plus no PK limits his time and he’s currently a liability in overtime because he can’t cover the additional ice when playing 3 on 3.

@ByJonBailey You know, I’ve been on the patience bandwagon for quite some time but sooner or later, this roster has got to get its shit together. Same thing with the power play. I refuse to believe that it’s a coaching issue but instead, it’s a player issue. No heart or drive.

@EggsTeaSea @UncleButsy And what season was that? The guy was a defensive sieve with the Ducks which also explains why he wasn’t a center the whole time with the Ducks. It’s been tried and he can’t handle it. Pretty simple.
