An update on something that’s been happening over the past 12 months. Somebody or some people threatened to kill my children. The offence would certainly carry a custodial sentence because it cited a weapon, vulnerable groups (children) and was done anonymously on social media. My family required 24/7 security and the kids even had someone walking to school with them. Thank you to GB News for all their support with that, we’re very grateful for all their help and concern. Police located the account to an address in Tower Hamlets but after saying they were about to make arrests, they now say they won’t pursue it because it’s potentially one of three individuals and they can’t pinpoint which one it was. How about you go round and ask them - and you know, investigate? Police are happy enough to make 12,000 arrests each year for social media posts but when it comes to threatening to kill children of someone who speaks up for the country, it’s apparently not a big issue despite the gravity of the offence. The problem that arises from this is people start beginning to lose trust in the institutions that are meant to protect them. The institutions we pay for. And when that trust erodes, it’s not good for society. Ann Widdecombe was slaughtered only months ago and I’m told on my own show by certain guests that words don’t kill people. Well, they do. And they have a huge impact on people’s lives. Thank you again to GB News for all their support. They have been top class. Shame I can’t say the same about the police.

Accidentally tumbled into my 30th birthday live on air during an unexpected work trip - presenting a transatlantic programme at a young yet powerful broadcaster. When I turned 20, I could not even conceive of flipping into my next decade in this weird and wonderful way. While a celebratory facetime with family (plus some drinks tonight in DC) are certainly in order, I'm saving the real birthday for when I'm back in Blighty. Deludedly determined to cling onto my 20s for another few days yet. Thank you to everyone who has chosen to follow this account for somehow being on this bonkers journey with me. To another doolally decade!

If you don’t think he’s a woman, you’re transphobic. When he claimed to be a woman, he became a woman. He now belongs in women’s changing rooms, bathrooms, hospital wards, prison cells and rape support centres. If you try and differentiate between him and a trans woman who looks more convincing as a woman, you are promoting patriarchal beauty norms. If you admit to seeing an aggressive and possibly unbalanced man in this video, you’re saying all trans people are mentally ill predators. If you refuse to let him into female-only spaces, you’re removing his right to exist. If you suggest he could comfortably use male facilities, you secretly want him assaulted. If you refuse to call him ‘she’, you are guilty of unpardonable cruelty. If you’re a woman who wouldn’t want to share a locker room with him, or a man who wouldn’t want your daughter, sister or mother to get undressed in close proximity to him, you belong to the far-right. If you point out that there is no objective difference between his claim to be a woman and that of any other biological male claiming a trans identity, you are too stupid to understand the circular arguments explaining why he’s not really trans whereas other men who say they’re women are really trans. If you’re righteous, you must argue that this man’s self-declared identity overrides any consideration of the safety and rights of females. To be godly, you must agree he’s as ‘valid’ as every other trans woman, because people are who they say they are. No matter what your eyes, ears and common sense are telling you, if you don’t want to end up on the wrong side of history, you must pretend to believe that this angry, intimidating man is actually a vulnerable, oppressed woman.

People may scoff at this, I don’t care. I attended a church today whilst on holiday in France and said a little prayer for the soul of Ann Widdecombe. She was a devout Christian. May she rest in peace.
