🧵 1/7 Screen for leadership. Trade the regime. Most traders screen for strength. Then they buy the strongest name on the list. That is how you end up long the wrong tape. These six were pre-filtered by Relative Strength vs $SPY, then run through the full TradeSentinel framework. RS got them on the page. RS did not decide the trade. Summary cards in the thread 👇 1️⃣ What do we see? Six RS leaders. Six different answers. $VLO: controlled ATH, LOW vol, full stack aligned. $SNOW: real demand gap — expensive location. $DE: ATH expansion — EXTREME vol, poor fill. $ABNB: trend alive, move dead. $NET: RS still green, SMA20 already lost. $FTNT: RS already bearish. Failed high. 2️⃣ Thesis Retail screening dies at the first filter. “Relative Strength ” is a search term, not an edge. The edge is whether structure, momentum, volatility and participation still agree after RS qualifies the name. 3️⃣ What does TradeSentinel unveil? Same RS gate. Different regimes. Only VLO cleared engagement cleanly. SNOW cleared it only at reduced size. The other four were Monitor or Reject. 4️⃣ What's worth the capital now(!) ? If RS-alone had produced six equivalent longs, the filter would be the product. It didn’t. Four of six RS names were not buyable today. The uncomfortable part: a stock that looks strong on a scan is often the one with the worst R.
