The syringe was jammed while I was trying to fill the new cartridge and I tried to unjam it and 300 units of insulin went flying out all over me. I could of cried 🫠

Funny how @AkilahObviously works for @CrookedMedia, a platform for “conversations about politics, culture, and the world that doesn’t just focus on what’s broken but what we can do to fix it” is taunting disabled advocates regarding their activism to stamp out diabetes stigma.🙄

I think the most frustrating and isolating part of having type one diabetes is that no one understands that we all have severe PTSD from the time we looked up how they used to treat out condition before insulin was discovered. People don’t know we’re haunted by our mortality.

Wow. The double down. Ok. Never mind. Guess some people don’t understand advocacy or why it’s important for us to stop the perpetuation of diabetes stigma, even if we just explained it to them.🙄
