If you met my ex, you'd probably believe his story. He's handsome, cries easily, and says what people want to hear. He'd tell you I was crazy and show you pictures of him with our beautiful children. Abusers aren't always what you'd imagine them to be.

The police force that did very little to help me when I was being stalked are now tweeting in support of #NSAW2020 🤔. I was constantly on the phone practically begging them to help me. And they treated my case as low priority. I could’ve been killed. #SeeStalkingClearly

Not many people understand the severity of stalking & harassment. I had to go to the police. Told my housemates not to let this man in the house. They ignored me. Next day, one of the girls invited my stalker over for pizza. Said she felt sorry for him. 🤔 #NSAW2020

@BarristerSecret I had no visible bruises but I can tell you that my ex tried to suffocate me & placed cold objects on my torso as part of his reign of terror. Some abusers are clever not to leave a scratch. Abuse doesn’t always leave a mark. These tabloid journos need educating. #domesticabuse

Exhaustion, needing to sleep, feeling depleted are signs of trauma. Living in constant anxiety from a pandemic and the unknown is a similar trauma response to the unpredictability of an abuser.
