This is exactly the sort of "Lost Cause" sanitization of history that Xi Chapter seeks to uproot in KA. By refusing to acknowledge the problematic aspects of Lee's history, KA perpetuates a false narrative & white supremacy. Check out @oblivious_guy's account for more details

Suspending members after they commit overtly racist acts is not enough. KAO needs to reckon with how its support of the "Lost Cause" ideology encourages hateful acts. Silence is complicity.

In today's closed door meeting, KAO will discuss only whether to cut ties with Robert E. Lee. That's not enough! It must also renounce figures like Knight Commander John Temple Graves, rather than praising their eloquence. (TW: support for lynching)
