The signage on door at @NandosSA Norwood says it closes at 10pm on a Saturday. Try 8.30pm. Change the sign if you not going to open. Staff just ignored me when I knocked on the door. So now at @PedrosChicken

Pope Francis used his last public address to call for a ceasefire in Gaza. Even as he was hospitalised, he maintained his commitment to check in on a daily basis with priests and parishioners at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza City. Rest in peace.

This is like a case study in extreme apartheid. They built a cage around a Palestinian family's home to separate it from the Jewish settlement surrounding it. The only gate to the cage is controlled by the Israeli army.

@CityPowerJhb please explain below. I opened a ticket on Tuesday which I have been trying to close since matter recitified on TUESDAY. I have phoned every day and pleaded for ticket to be closed. You keep sending technicans and claiming there's an issue. Close the ticket!

I have tried to close a ticket since Tuesday @CityPowerJhb. I have called call centre several times. Actually spoken to people. Gave the reference, & asked them to close. This morning City Power contractors were at my door. What a waste of time & resources.

Twitter has completely destroyed Younis Tirawi’s (@ytirawi) account. Nearly 200,000 followers removed, when you try to follow him you’re automatically made to unfollow him! Younis was the only journalist who tracked and documented all Israeli crimes in Gaza!

This photo has haunted me since I first saw it as a kid. The man is Nsala—he missed the Belgian authorities’ daily rubber quota. His 5yo daughter was cannibalized as punishment. The almost tranquil image, full of suffocating horror, was one of my earliest glimpses of colonialism.
