Taking computer vision, research for robotics, and ML for robotics this semester and I’m done

Moved to France for final semester. Time to see what in person schooling is like again
Got my final grade back, another set of As and one last semester to finish off my masters
Spent the day playing octopath traveler to relax. Fun to just do something different for now
Finished finals, time to figure myself out for couple weeks. I had fun with RL so might look into that more
I shouldn’t have underestimated the speed up gains from moving my array manipulation to tensors instead of numpy. So much time wasted but I guess I learned a lesson
ending the day with about a 60% win rate on my model against the rules-based one. For having started knowing very little about RL, this feels like a small win
For my current NLP project, runs take about 1 hour per epoch, and RL project is also at like 2-3 hours a project. Feel like I should punt these to the cloud instead
After bumping up to 1 million iterations, model looks better and won a few times. Pretty cool to see the moves it makes.
Got to see what catastrophic forgetting means in RL. Which is cool to learn I guess. time to poke at the parameteres again
Model was doing great starting at 15 lore but can’t learn from 0 lore. I think it’s underfitting so doubled the hidden state to see how that helps
Best reward curve so far. I'm going to spend the day tuning the results to see how I can improve the model.
wasted like 3 hours accidentally running on CPU instead of GPU. next time I should just raise an error if I'm not on cuda

Forgot that lorcana ends at 20 lore so my training loop wasn’t good anyways. Hopefully this change fixes my model
Working on a RL project to solve Lorcana. Cool to see the start where my model just keeps conceding
