I’m currently in a meeting about how I need to spray my classroom with carcinogens, keep my windows open at all times in February, wear two masks and not physically interact with any other teachers in order to do my job and NOT DIE, but by all means, keep going out to bars.

I’m really glad people are finding the time to go to bars when the literal only time I’ve left my house in the past two weeks is to take walks with my sick father. Because it’s not like people are dying or anything.

What I'm most struck by, after talking to the women in my life, is that even through all the anger and hopelessness, the underlying consensus is that they're "not surprised." What an unacceptable status quo. We have to be better. We can't let history repeat itself against women.
