In Curse of the Golden Flower (2006) Chow Yun-fat shows up Seagal in how to make a sit down fight scene feel effortless instead of laughably lazy. I'll admit the intricately designed armor is also doing some heavy lifting in literally making this feel like it has weight to it.

Wish we got a longer sequence in the blood red night vison view for 28 Years Later as this was one of my favorite visual looks for the film that really stood out. The glowing irises both livened and pushed how dead their eyes appeared. Imagine a frantic chase scene like this?

The opening for Nobody (2021) quickly gets the point across that Bob Odinkirk's character is trapped in a monotonous rut. Easy to see the decline in spousal affection as well as his patience with suburban simplicity. Not the biggest fan of the action but still a decent watch.

While the mopey voiceover fits the character's lack of motivation and feelings of monotony with her job, it does make the action feel very secondary and undercuts the physical efforts on screen since it's all meaningless. Shame because it's clear and nicely done in the one take.
