I’d like to salute this traffic officer, who was doing an excellent job of keeping the busy 1 Av bike lane and crosswalk clear at 34th during the morning rush. They seem to be paying particular attention to this crossing (I’ve seen this other mornings) and it’s much appreciated.

A unique format in Berkeley along the Milvia Bike Boulevard! There’s a big school that runs for 2 blocks along the newish protected bike lanes. I was told that a massive number kids at dismissal get picked up by car. So they put up a railing to separate those. Your thoughts?

Widening roads for cars to “address congestion” (it doesn’t) does NOT reduce climate emissions, despite what your local politicians might be saying. Anyone claiming that is either uninformed, or lying. Distance driven is the issue, not congestion. Please spread this key message.

OC Streetcar construction in Downtown Santa Ana. This is the last of the Obama-era streetcars, with federal funding allocated in 2016. Completion next year, apparently? octa.net/programs-proje…
