Just submitted the @SouthwestAir form to be reimbursed for expenses incurred due to the meltdown. I had originally paid $39 for OGG-KOA. When Southwest canceled, I bought a walk-up ticket on Hawaiian for $149. Completing the form was easy, but now we wait and see what happens..
@_ZachGriff Hi there, Zach! We'd be happy to help you with this ASAP! Would you please send us a DM with your case number and the confirmation number? -Emilia
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir I always thought SW had excellent customer service. Reason why we continue flying SW.
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir What about for hotel and tickets already paid for that was at my destination that I never made it to and hotel and tickets were non refundable
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir I applied online for my refund and uploaded my expenses and I have not heard a word from SW. That was probably 4 weeks ago.
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir Also just submitted for the thousands we ended up paying to remedy Christmas after the meltdown (48 hours in the airport, 14 canceled flights, presents from our checked luggage, and lost bags for 13 days). Fingers crossed they'll be as quick with a response! @SouthwestAir
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir I’m not sure a new ticket on another carrier constitutes “expenses”, at least not in the sense it is intended. I hope you don’t get reimbursed.
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir I’m still waiting - 12/26/22 flight
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir I only have the automated reply. I’ll keep waiting. I would really appreciate if they would locate and return my son’s suitcase, as it has been 6 days since his flight.
@_ZachGriff @SouthwestAir Would love to see how fast you get a response, especially with @SouthwestAir offering to help you via DM. I'd like to compare timing with my expenses that include hotel, transportation and food
