I understand not taking away children’s innocence but the truth should be taught in schools. True American history is not pretty or easy to talk about but it is important for us to acknowledge it and grow from it #kedleyclass

the controversy surrounding the 1619 project is interesting because the thoughts reflect what we’re are taught in school. instead of highlighting the “heroes” of the time, the 1619 projects discusses what what really happened at the time #kedleyclass
